Dungeons, raids and battlegrounds

Forever launches with nine new dungeons. The Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit open on December 9, and Darkspear Islands adds a 15-player-per-side battleground.

Nine announced instances

The launch lineup runs from Hall of Thanes at 13–18 to Shaper’s Terrace at 58–60. Follow each guide for the level range, location, preparation and available beta equipment.

Hall of ThanesBeneath Ironforge

A new dungeon beneath Ironforge opens a previously inaccessible part of the dwarven capital.

Forsaken players return to the fallen capital in a dungeon tied to reclaiming Lordaeron.

The dwarven dig site in the Wetlands becomes a full dungeon expedition.

City of DalaranAlterac Mountains

Arcane trouble inside the sealed city turns Dalaran into a dungeon in Forever’s version of Azeroth.

A corrupted furbolg city extends through tunnels and ruins below the forest.

The Drowned CityCoastal ruins

Naga and pirates contest coastal ruins that have risen from the sea.

Krol’dok StrongholdOgre stronghold

A large ogre settlement becomes a dungeon destination in original Azeroth.

Raids opening December 9

Both announced raids target maximum-level characters. The tier includes new tier sets and a legendary reward.

10 players

The Barrow Deeps

A maximum-level raid enters the prisons beneath night elven territory.

20 players

Hyjal Summit

A 20-player maximum-level raid investigates the force draining Mount Hyjal.

A new battleground off Kalimdor combines control points with flag capture and defence.

What is confirmed for launch?

The launch lineup adds nine dungeons across Azeroth. Hall of Thanes starts the early group-content journey beneath Ironforge, while Ruins of Lordaeron brings level 15–20 groups into the ruined capital.

What opens later?

The two new raids unlock on December 9, 2026. Hyjal Summit uses a 20-player roster and The Barrow Deeps uses 10 players. Organise the appropriate group size rather than assuming the same raid team fits both.
