Blacksmithing 1–300 Leveling Guide
Blacksmithing makes metal weapons, armor and weapon-maintenance supplies. Mining provides ore and stone, so the two trades fit a character who wants to craft while leveling.

Leveling route: 1–300
Craft the listed recipe until you reach the end of its skill range. Quantities include extra crafts for yellow and green recipes; skill gains are random, so stop at the target and adjust the count if you need more.

Preparation and practical tips
- Buy a Blacksmith Hammer from a trade supplier and keep it in your bags.
- Turn early stone into sharpening and grinding stones; keep grinding stones used by later recipes.
- Train Journeyman with Snarl in Orgrimmar or Therum Deepforge in Stormwind before reaching the Apprentice cap.
- Keep Rough Grinding Stones for Runed Copper Gauntlets. The preparation rows show how many additional stones to make before each batch.
- Carry a Blacksmith Hammer and craft beside an anvil. Buy thread, dyes and flux from suppliers before traveling to an Artisan trainer.
